Terms & Conditions




1. Reservations for holidays of seven nights or more HALF BOARD HOLIDAYS are secured by a non-refundable deposit of £75.00 per person, payable by cheque made out to Lovat Lodge Hotel or on the phone by card. N.B credit cards carry an additional charge of 2.5% – debit cards are free.

2. Reservations for Mini Breaks (minimum 3 nights) can be secured by cheque or credit card payment of £40 per person  non refundable deposit.


3. Full payment for Half Board holidays (less any deposit paid to reserve such holidays) must be made to the hotel at least 8 weeks before arrival. If such payment is not made at least eight weeks before arrival, Lovat Lodge will be entitled to treat the previous reservation as cancelled. Once you have paid in full, your holiday is protected by the hotels insurance premium.

4. If you have to cancel or curtail the holiday after you have paid in full due to illness you will be able to obtain a partial or complete refund of the money you have paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit). If you need to make a claim you should contact the hotel in the first instance.

5. Guests may check in from 2pm on the day of arrival and rooms must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, unless alternative arrangements have been made prior to departure day.

6. If you are receiving regular treatment from a district nurse you are advised to personally contact them and provide them with full details of your holiday so they may inform our nursing service in Nairn.  Their telephone number is 01667 452096 and they will require at least fourteen days notice.

7. Dogs may be allowed, subject to approval from the hotels management. There is a charge of £5 per day per animal and we ask that they are not allowed into the dining areas of the hotel. It is imperative that dogs are not left unattended for long periods in the bedrooms. Any damages repairs or replacements caused by failure to do so will be met in full by the owner of the animal. Please check with the hotel management when booking.

8. Bedrooms are all different and we try our very best to are allocate to suit your personal needs and disabilities. It is imperative that your needs are made clear at time of booking.

9. Whilst the hotel staff are caring they are not permitted to assist with any medication or with any personal care.  If you require assistance you would need to be accompanied by a carer.  Or, you may prefer to arrange for care from a local care agency (as a private arrangement and at your own expense).  They require at least fourteen days notice.

10. If you wish to borrow a hoist or standaid during your stay, it is imperative that you notify the hotel well in advance to allow us to ensure that equipment is charged up and ready for your use. While we will loan it to you free of charge, it will be totally your responsibility to operate the equipment as our staff are neither trained or permitted to do so. You will be requested to complete a Portable Aid registration form on arrival.

11. You may request a small refrigerator during your stay for the safe storage of any medication.

12. If a medical condition or other health issue of any guest is such as to cause a nuisance to other guests or hotel staff in the professional judgment of the management the hotel management reserve the right to cancel the guest’s holiday without compensation.

13. It is very important that you advise the manager of any special needs you may require also including any particular dietary requirements in advance of your holiday.
