The Restaurant

We are pleased to say that Lovat Lodge has resisted the modern trend of buffet or self service. We offer full traditional table service at breakfast and dinner.

We use only local suppliers for all our fresh foods. All our meat products are sourced from Aberdeenshire Larder Tarves Aberdeenshire. In this day and age, it feels very safe and secure to be able to state that we only purchase Scottish Beef.

Our fish comes fresh from Buckie, where we have had the pleasure of retaining the same family that have provide us with the best catch possible for the last 19 years.

Our fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily from Swansons in Nairn.

Our milk and eggs come from Grahams Family Dairy also here in Nairn.


We would like to think that we offer a breakfast menu with something to suit all tastes.

Lunch is predominantly a ‘light’ affair – with fresh homemade soup of the day and sandwiches being the popular choice. We also offer breaded Haddock or Scampi with chips should you wish to have something more substantial.

A three course meal with Coffee or Tea to finish. While we do not have the luxury of being able to provide a large choice for each course, our main course choice will always consist of a freshly prepared meat dish, a fish dish and a vegetarian dish, menu’s change daily and are placed on the menu board before breakfast to allow guests to view. We also have a more extensive range of vegetarian choices, omelette and salads on offer should the daily menu selections not meet your tastes. All we ask is that you pre-order any dishes from these menus as soon before 3pm as possible to allow our chef time to prepare your particular choice.
