Room 1

Room 1 ‘The Gordon-Cooper Room’

When Janice joined Lovat Lodge way back in 1994, Nelly Gordon was one of the first guests that she had the pleasure to meet. Nelly was a very sweet endearing lady who hailed from Aberdeen. Her favourite room in the hotel was room 1. Sadly Nelly passed away in 1998, but very kindly and generously bequeathed a sum of money to Lovat Lodge. It seemed right and proper to use that money to refurbish Nelly’s favourite room, Room 1.

In the intervening years it had become a favourite room of Tom & Thelma Cooper. And when it came time to give Room 1 another revamp their son Gavin made extraordinary fund raising efforts, together with kind donations from other guests.

The results of the refurbishment in March 2018 of this now stunning room, with the door moved to allow wheelchair access to a fantastic wet room, are plain to see.

This is a bright and airy large front facing double aspect room, large enough to afford us the luxury of installing two single adjustamatic beds, while still leaving ample space to move around. It has a beautiful new wheelchair accessible wet room. Room 1 is located on the ground floor extremely close to all hotel amenities.

Requests for this room are very high and we recommend early booking to ensure availability.
